Elshinta.com – Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Natuna, Kepulauan Riau (Kepri), akan membersihkan sampah yang menumpuk di jalan Tempat Pembungan Akhir (TPA) Sebayar di Kecamatan Bunguran Timur.
Sekretaris Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Kabupaten Natuna Afriyudi saat dihubungi melalui sambungan telepon dari Natuna, Selasa, mengatakan sampah yang berserakan di jalan karena sudah lama tidak dirapikan akibat alat berat yang digunakan rusak dan saat ini dalam tahap perbaikan.
“Segera kami tuntaskan. Hari ini kami mulai untuk membersihkannya dengan alat berat,” ucapnya.
Ia menjelaskan jumlah sampah yang masuk ke TPA Sebayar mencapai 14-15 ton per hari.

“Kalau sudah satu minggu tidak dirapikan, pastinya akan berserakan,” katanya.
Ia menambahkan pada Jumat (12/1) pihaknya akan melakukan kegiatan Jumat Bersih di TPA Sebayar. “Pada kegiatan Jumat bersih nanti kami akan merapikan sampah yang berterbangan di sekitar TPA,” ujarnya.
Sementara Sholeh, warga Natuna, mengatakan sampah yang berserakan mengganggu warga yang menggunakan jalan tersebut, karena kehadiran sampah membuat jalanan licin dan berbau busuk.

Oleh karena itu, Sholeh berharap pemerintah segera menanganinya agar tidak menimbulkan masalah lainnya. “Semoga segera ditanggapi, agar tidak merugikan pihak lain,” ucapnya.
Selain itu, menurutnya, masalah juga terjadi pada kendaraan pengangkut sampah, dimana sampah yang diangkut kerap berterbangan ke jalan raya. Kondisi demikian juga membahayakan pengguna jalan yang berpotensi menyebabkan kecelakaan.
“Kami pengguna jalan hanya bisa berharap, mobil pengangkut sampah untuk lebih mengutamakan kenyamanan pengendara lain ketika mengangkut sampah. Jika perlu dipasang terpal penutup atau jaring, agar sampah plastik tidak jatuh,” ujar Sholeh.
