PALU – Wali Kota Palu, Hadianto Rasyid mengeluarkan Surat Edaran Nomor: XXX/500.9.14.2/VI/KADIS DLH yang berisi imbauan perayaan Idul Adha 1445 H tanpa sampah plastik.

SE itu dikeluarkan untuk mengurangi dampak lingkungan akibat sampah plastik yang tidak mudah terurai dan dapat menimbulkan zat toksik serta karsinogenik.

Dalam SE tersebut, Wali Kota Palu menyampaikan sejumlah poin penting yang harus diperhatikan oleh masyarakat, antara lain, panitia pembagian daging kurban untuk tidak menggunakan kantong plastik sekali pakai dan mendorong masyarakat untuk membawa wadah sendiri yang dapat digunakan ulang.

“Sebagai alternatif, bisa menggunakan daun pisang, wadah anyaman bambu (besek) atau bingga. Wadah makanan lain yang dapat dikomposkan, sangat dianjurkan,” kata Wali Kota Palu dalam SE tersebut.

Wali Kota Palu juga menekankan pentingnya penyediaan sarana dan prasarana pengelolaan sampah di lokasi pelaksanaan Sholat Idul Adha dan pembagian daging kurban, termasuk tempat sampah terpilah dan alat pengumpul sampah terpilah.

Masyarakat juga diminta untuk tidak membuang limbah dan sampah hasil pemotongan hewan kurban ke sungai atau badan air, dan dianjurkan untuk membuat lubang untuk menimbun kembali sampah tersebut

Wali kota menginstruksikan pembentukan satuan tugas khusus di lapangan atau masjid yang bertugas menangani sampah, sekaligus memberikan edukasi tentang pengurangan sampah plastik.

Para lurah diimbau melaporkan pelaksanaan Hari Raya Idul Adha tanpa plastik di lingkungan masing-masing kepada Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Kota Palu paling lambat tanggal 21 Juni 2024 atau mengisi tautan http://bit.ly/IdulAdhaKotaPalu2024.

“Semoga masyarakat dapat melaksanakan Idul Adha tahun ini dengan lebih ramah lingkungan dan meminimalisir penggunaan plastik sekali pakai,” tutup wali kota.
